Alois Carigiet (* 30 August 1902 Trun, Grisons; † 1 August 1985 Trun) was known for his work as a Swiss painter, illustrator, lithographer and author of children's books. Three of his most famous picture books are: "A Bell for Ursli", "The Big Snow" and "Florina and the Wild Bird". Especially the book "A Bell for Ursli" written by Selina Chönz led to national fame. The Engadine reference to nature and landscape is omnipresent in Alois Carigiet's drawings. The unique Carigiet paintings can be found in the Rheinfeld ceramic products. All products are unique and lovingly handcrafted - just looking at this product line is a great pleasure.
